Gym Etiquette

Just like the rest of us are taught to clean up after ourselves, the same rules apply when you share a space with a thousand other people. You don’t leave a mess for someone else to clean up after you. Practicing good hygiene habits is a must. There really isn’t anything as unattractive as an unhygienic lady.

Apply these few hygiene practices next time you go to the gym:

Wash your hands

I can’t emphasize enough how important washing your hands is. The gym is, one of the biggest germ and bacterial infested places you can be in. Everything you touch from the equipment to bathroom handles carries a lot of germs. Before and after a workout, wash your hands properly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, then rinse well and dry with a clean towel or air dryer.

Drinking Water

You will need drinking water during your work out. It will be best if you bring your own filtered bottled water. If you don’t have any, then see to it that the water fountain you're drinking out of at the gym has been through an effective and safe sanitation process.

Clean Towels

Remember to always bring your own clean towel to wipe out the equipment before you hand it over to someone else. As much as you wouldn’t want to use equipment dripping of someone else’s bodily fluids, they also wouldn’t.

Cleaning Up

Get into the habit of showering straight after your work out to avoid contracting any bacteria. Make sure the shower floors are clean. Fungal infections of the skin are common, it will be best to wear water shoes or flip flops inside the shower. Make sure you wash your feet and dry them thoroughly, especially between your toes.

Well curvy ladies, I hope that these gym hygiene and etiquette tips were helpful to you. It’s great to hit the gym every now and then but be sure to make your health a priority.
